Emperor Jewellery teams up with Plan International in presenting the “Mini Me Mother’s Day Charity Campaign” from 12 April to 12 May. During this period, Emperor Jewellery will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Mini Me Collection to Plan International for charitable purposes. Emperor Jewellery has specially invited Plan International Honourary Ambassador Cindy Yeung and Ambassador Leila Kong, along with nine Emperor Entertainment Group artists including Teresa Mo, Charlene Choi, Gillian Chung, Carlos Chan, Kathy Yuen, Vincy Chan, Sherman Chung, Ken Hung and Lillian Ho, to create Mother’s Day postcards for charity sale at Emperor Watch and Jewellery, Emperor Jewellery, Ulferts and at.home stores across Hong Kong, and at Maggie & Rose Beach Club (The Pulse in Repulse Bay). Each set of postcards is priced at HK$80, and all funds raised from the charity sale will be donated to Plan International in support of its work. In celebrating mothers’ love, the campaign also spreads the love by raising funds for children’s education.

Charity postcards by pop stars in support of children’s education worldwide
Emperor Watch and Jewellery Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer Ms Cindy Yeung has been a Plan International Ambassador for many years, as Emperor Jewellery has been a sponsor of the organization for nine consecutive years. As she remarks, “Children are like precious gemstones that shine after meticulous polishing. Children in developing countries are in need of special support and nurturing, which helps them to carve out a brighter future for themselves when they have grown up. Through this charity campaign, Emperor Jewellery hopes to join forces with Plan International in providing help to more poverty-stricken children around the world.”

Dr. Kanie Siu, Plan International’s Chief Executive for the Hong Kong office, says, “We would like to thank Ms Cindy Yeung, Emperor Jewellery, Ms Leila Kong and all participating artists in this campaign for their generous support, as they give their thoughts and time for Plan International’s children’s education programs. Mother’s Day is an occasion for celebration, as it is a wonderful opportunity to offer our concern and help to children in need. We hope the public will support this charity campaign in bringing equal learning opportunities to more children and spreading the love on Mother’s Day.”

Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung, who have been active supporters of charitable causes, note, “We love children, and it is a joy to spend time with them. We also believe a happy childhood is essential for every child’s development. In participating in this campaign, we hope to make our share of contribution to helping children in need around the world.” Gillian also says she hopes to celebrate Mother’s Day and experience the festive joy as a mother in the near future.

Carlos Chan, who is known for being a dutiful son, also takes the opportunity to express his love for his mother. “I am very close with my family. Last year I made great strides in my career, and I am grateful to my family for the confidence and support they have given me. I hope to offer my support to children around the world through this campaign, which will enable them to have equal learning opportunities and develop their talent.”
