Emperor Jewellery Proudly Presents ‘Emperor Waltz’ High Jewellery Collection

Nov 1, 2016

As one of the world’s five most significant royal palaces, the Château de Versailles, which took 29 years to build, represents the excellence and extravagance of western art and architecture. Back in the 16th century, the beloved palace was also the heart of aristocratic activities and the cradle of art and culture of France as well as the entire Europe.

Inspired by this remarkable style of the Château de Versailles, Emperor Jewellery blends French heritage into contemporary jewellery design by fusing extravagant imperial designs and amazing classical aesthetics with modern expertise in jewellery cutting and setting. The results are an interesting reinterpretation of European classical art and architectural beauty, and pay homage to this extraordinary cultural treasure through three newly launched collections – the Emperor Waltz Collection, Secret Garden Collection and Love Paradise Collection.

To celebrate the launch of these remarkable collections, Emperor Jewellery proudly organised the Emperor Waltz Jewellery Show, which was held from November 1-3, 2016 at its specialty store at New World Tower, 16-18 Queen’s Road Central. During the opening ceremony, famous artist Ms. Charlene Choi was invited to join with Ms. Cindy Yeung, Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of Emperor Watch & Jewellery, to showcase the glittering pieces from the Emperor Waltz Collection, revealing the design essence of Emperor Jewellery’s latest masterpieces.

Charlene Choi Made a Stunning Presence
Dressed in a completely graceful and magnificent style, Charlene Choi was adorned with the main necklace, earrings and ring from the new Emperor Waltz Collection, which was inspired by the extravagance of the Château de Versailles. The brilliant and glaring pieces were designed with mainly emeralds, totalling over 40 carats, augmenting the refined femininity of Charlene.

“The special designs and palettes of this new collection impress me with a great sense of elegance and style. All the pieces display sleek lines and beautiful layers, which would be great to add timeless and elegant allure to match with evening gowns,” said Charlene Choi as she appreciated the beauty of the new collection.

Charlene also believes the new collection is a perfect choice for her to attend star-studded occasions. “I always choose the jewellery pieces that best fit the occasions and my outfits. I love colourful things, and jewellery is no exception. The Emperor Waltz Collection boasts a rich array of dazzling gemstones, which give me an exhilarating feeling in attending gala dinners or other remarkable occasions. For more casual events, lighter designs, such as pieces with solitaire diamonds, can be selected for easy mix & match with a splendid focus.”

Emperor Jewellery Emperor Waltz Collection
During the 16th and 17th centuries, the Château de Versailles regularly played host to sumptuous and stately parties and banquets. These legendary affairs are the inspiration for Emperor Jewellery’s Emperor Waltz Collection, which features special necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets crafted from emerald, sapphire, green garnet and diamond. These perfectly inlaid gemstones seem to come alive with the unbridled energy and radiating hues of the palace’s age-old celebrations, evoking the graceful flow of a long dress in mid-flight during a spirited waltz – a timeless reminder of the power and beauty of Versailles.

The vision and creativity of Emperor Jewellery’s design also draws inspiration from the Galerie des Glaces (Hall of Mirrors), the wondrous central gallery of the Château de Versailles. With 17 mirrored arches reflecting 17 windows overlooking the famed palace gardens, the Galerie des Glaces creates and reflects light in myriad dazzling forms. The Emperor Waltz Collection mainly uses pearl and sapphire to mimic the gallery’s spectacular architecture and its sparkling crystal chandeliers in a series of stunningly crafted pieces, which seem to refract new forms of light and create new colour expressions.

Emperor Jewellery Secret Garden Collection
The legendary Gardens of Versailles surround the palace in over 800 hectares of manicured lawns and formal flower gardens, punctuated by sculptures and gushing fountains. Lush and incredibly ornate, the palace gardens are the inspiration for Emperor Jewellery’s Secret Garden Collection, which combines innovative design and an array of beautifully inlaid gemstones to capture the alluring colours of the Gardens of Versailles. The collection’s necklaces, brooches, rings and earrings are brought to life by the mastery of Emperor Jewellery’s expert craftsmen, who use emerald, ruby, pink sapphire and diamond to create one-of-a-kind pieces that radiate otherworldly brightness and create a mesmerising aura.

Emperor Jewellery Love Paradise Collection
The architecture of the Château de Versailles features numerous columns embellished with decorative details, making it look a bit like an imaginatively arranged, larger than life musical score. Over the years, this amazing palace has inspired tens of millions of visitors to fall in love not only with its architectural beauty, but also with its bold extravagance. Using ruby, pink sapphire and pearl, Emperor Jewellery’s Love Paradise Collection reflects the palace’s architectural grandeur and its boundless beauty in various pieces that inspire and amaze with bold extravagance and unbridled beauty. Like the palace itself, the collection uses visionary design and dedicated craftsmanship to create a tangible expression of love and beauty – a paradise of the highest order.
